The Detail Data project aims to help charities develop their ability to use Open Data to effectively create and enhance social, economic and environmental value.
As part of the project, the DetailData Portal, a publicly accessible data catalogue (built on DKAN) for Open Data from a range of sectors in Northern Ireland, was launched on 29 June 2015. This data will help organisations tailor services, strengthen their advocacy role, challenge government on gaps in provision and performance, and develop stronger and more robust funding applications. Organisations will also be able to request datasets and upload their own data.
Detail Data is a partnership between NICVA and The Detail, an investigative journalism website. The project is funded by The Big Lottery Northern Ireland.
