DEFRA holds millions of data files worth billions of pounds to British people and the economy.  This release will allow entrepreneurs to use previously hidden information to grow their businesses in agriculture and food, whether it is to find the best soils for English wines or to check the supply chain in fisheries. This release goes further too, in providing access for people to find out environmental information for leisure activities including beach cleanliness for swimmers and river flows for watersports.
