About time I got myself a blog

This post was created automatically via an RSS feed and was originally published at http://thedatadonkey.blogspot.com/2014/10/about-time-i-got-myself-blog.html

So here is my first post. I’m a statistician in the Office of the Chief Statistician and Performance in The Scottish Government. A big part of my role involves helping and supporting colleagues to communicate their analysis in effective ways.

I intend to blog about infographics, interactive data visualisations and social media. I’ll also discuss other aspects of my job including open data. I plan to use this blog to share tips and techniques that I come across, and I really hope that people find this to be a useful resource.

I’m keen to receive feedback as well as suggestions of things that you’d like me to blog about. You can leave a comment on my posts, email me or tweet me @grgrbd.

Any views expressed on this blog are my own, and not those of the Scottish Government.
